The May Surfrider chapter meeting will include a free pint of beer afterwards for those that help us do some gardening maintenance at the Newport city hall Ocean Friendly Rain Garden. The event starts at 5 PM Thursday, May 11th at the south side of the Newport City Hall. Afterwards we will proceed to Bier One where the first pint per participant is on the chapter. Park at the south or southeast side of the city hall that is closest to the Ocean Friendly Rain Garden. We encourage people to bring gardening gloves, hand pruners, garden hoes, gardening hand saws, weed pullers, and anything useful for containing and carrying our trimmings to a pile at the east end of the garden. So, come join us for this pint and pull event.
