Written by Curran | Jan 16, 2014 11:32:21 PM

Join Surfrider Foundation Newport Chapter in a cleanup of Styrofoam and other marine debris washed in by the recent storm this coming Saturday January 18, 2014. Sign in time will be from 10am-11am and the cleanup will run from 10am-Noon on the beach at South Beach State Park Day Use Area 2 miles south of Newport on the west side of Highway 101.

Please bring reusable gloves, buckets, and appropriate attire for volunteering on the beach. We will outfit you with gloves if you need them and bags for picking up debris.

As storm activity picks up and brings debris on shore, the need for community members to volunteer and help keep our beaches beautiful and healthy has returned. Come out and support the health of your local beach and put some positive energy in your Saturday!
