Big thanks to everyone this weekend for their efforts to make the annual Seafood and Wine an amazing fundraiser for the Newport Chapter this year! Under the leadership of Barefoot Wine and Bubbly's Rachel Swanson and Surfrider volunteer Beth Hawkyard, the chapter managed over 40 volunteer slots over the weekend and helped raise over $6,000 for the Newport Chapter.
Funds from the event primarily support Newport Chapter's Blue Water Task Force Program and beach cleanup efforts. Stay tuned in this summer as Surfrider and Barefoot launch their cooperative Beach Rescue Project, supporting barefoot friendly cleanup events across the nation with awesome afterparty appreciations for the volunteers!
