Winter Beach Cleanup Series Returns

The Newport Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation has teamed up with North Lincoln Sanitary Service, Thompson’s Sanitary Service and Lincoln County surf shops to help clean up our local beaches this winter. For their work to keep our local beaches clean, volunteers will be entered to win monthly prizes donated by the surf shop partners and the Surfrider Foundation.

Monthly beach clean ups are scheduled on the second Saturday of each month from December through March: 12/10, 1/14, 2/11, and 3/11. Volunteers are welcome to pick up trash on their own at any beach to qualify for monthly prizes!

1. 1. Bring your own cleanup supplies or grab supplies at any of the following surf shops (check their hours so you know when they open if you're picking up supplies):
      
      • ZuhG Life Surf Shop in Lincoln City
      • Pura Vida Surf Shop in Otter Rock
      • Ossies Surf Shop in Agate Beach
      • South Beach Surf Shop in South Beach
   2. Pick up trash at any beach of your choosing!
   3. Return your trash to any of the above listed surf shops before 2 pm to be entered to win a monthly prize
