Mark your calendars for the 2018 Beach Cleanups. Surfrider Foundation invites everyone to participate in collecting beach litter and marine debris. The Newport Chapter will provide supplies and crew leaders. Volunteers are encouraged to bring reusable gloves and buckets. This is an opportunity to work locally on an important environmental issue (clean beaches) and have fun. The day will be family friendly, so bring the kids to the beach.

March 3 - Strawberry Hill (29 miles south of Newport) parking is limited - car pooling suggested , 8am to 11am..
March 24 - SOLVE Spring Oregon Beach Cleanup, 10am to 1pm at 5 Newport area sites (Devil's Punch Bowl State Park - Otter Rock), Beverly Beach State Park, Agate Beach Wayside, Nye Beach Turnaround, Yaquina Bay State Park.
June 23 - Otter Rock State Park, Beach Cleanup part of Otter Rock n’ Roll Youth Surf Competition.
July 7 - South Beach State Park, noon to 3pm, day use access.
August 4 - Agate Beach, Beach Cleanup part of the Women’s Expression Session Surf Competition.
August 10 - Microplastic cleanup coordinated with Oregon Parks and Rec at Otter Rock.
Sept 15 - Microplastic cleanup coordinated with Oregon Parks and Rec at Otter Rock.
September 29 - SOLVE Beach and Riverside Cleanup, 10am to 1pm at 5 Newport sites.
