Otter Rock and Roll is a youth surf contest sponsored by the Newport Chapter of Surfrider Foundation and held annually on International Surfing Day. Surfers 18 and under come from all over Oregon and beyond to surf with friends and family in a fun, competitive setting. This year’s event is on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Otter Rock State Park. Not just a surfing contest, Otter Rock and Roll provides an opportunity to impart the importance of active stewardship of our shared beaches, waves, and ocean to the next generation. Plus, it’s a fun way to welcome summer.
