Come for an great opportunity to learn more about the Newport Chapter of Surfrider Foundation and get the hands-on training you need to help volunteer with our Blue Water Task Force Program, tabling and outreach events and beach cleanups!
We will be holding core volunteer training this Sunday from 1-4pm. We'll meet at the Visual Arts Center to learn more about the Surfrider Foundation mission and how to communicate that at events. This is great training for anyone who want's to table at events! We'll also talk about water sampling, head down to the beach to take samples and then head over to the Oregon coast aquarium for a behind the scenes look at our water-quality lab! This event is perfect for both seasoned volunteers and those of you who have wanted to get involved but don't feel like you've had the chance.
