A few months ago, I had the opportunity to drop in on Angela Pozzi's studio and snap some photos of the Washed Ashore exhibit under construction. What an amazing story and project Angela has going. She unfortunately wasn't around, but this quick slide show gives you an idea of how amazing the work is that goes into each one of her pieces and the plastic story behind them. Each piece is made nearly entirely from washed up plastic pollution on our beaches. Check it out, join the movement, rise above plastics! Her work is currently on display at the Newport Visual Arts Center and will then go on to the Oregon Coast Aquarium later this month.
