Surfer registration
(Pre-registration is now closed) There will be a limited amount of spots available on the morning of the event. Please arrive at 7:30 for registration.

The following spots are open and will be available to register for on Saturday morning from 7:30-8:00am and will be first come first served:

This event cannot happen without our amazing volunteers and we appreciate all of your time to help run this event!   We are still looking for one volunteer surf instructor for Best Beginner division 10am - noon!

Welcome to Newport Surfrider’s 14th annual Otter Rock & Roll youth surf contest, beach cleanup, and day of fun at the beach. Our goal is to get kids stoked about beach stewardship.

The day will feature:

• A series of beach cleanup challenges with prizes
• A “first board” drawing. Any kid without a board of their own is eligible.
• A contestant prize drawing with all contestants having an equal chance to win.
• Pizza for lunch

7:30 Beach entry registration begins

8:00  Pre-Registration check in begins 

8:30-8:45  Surfer’s meeting (meet at heat whiteboard)

9:00 Heats begin 

9:30 Best Beginners meet

11:30-12:30 Lunch break - Surfrider is providing pizza for all

12:30 Second Round of heats 

3:00 Awards 

• Drawing for Cleanup prize
• Drawing for First Board – Any kid without a board of their own can enter the drawing
• Drawings for contestant prizes 
• Medal awards - Medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each division
• Surfboard drawing for contestants
