Join us this coming Monday, Veterans Day from 1pm-3pm for a Pint and Pull at Newport City Hall and Bier One! To prep for the winter months, our ocean friendly garden at city hall needs a bit of tending to. We'll be pulling some weeds and mulching for new plants that we plan to put in this winter. Join us for a couple of hours of community work and then come along for a pint and good conversation at Bier One following. Beer tickets will be provided to volunteers but are only able to be used following the gardening event.
As a founding member of the Newport, OR Chapter, Charlie has greatly advanced Surfrider's mission through ocean conservation as the Oregon Policy Manager. He’s led a critical role in ocean protection through strategic engagement of our Oregon chapter network in policy initiatives, grassroots campaigns, and community-based projects. With a BS in Marine Biology and as a member of the Oregon Ocean Policy Advisory Council, Charlie’s ties to the ocean reach far and wide.
