Salva Tres Palmas - Puerto Rico's Coral Reefs Protected from Harmful Development

The Tres Palmas Marine Reserve was under threat from concerning development caused sediment pollution to flow into the nearshore environment. Such pollution is damaging the sensitive marine ecosystem, including threatened elkhorn and staghorn corals, as well as a world class surfing break. The Surfrider Foundation Rincón Chapter urged government agencies to enforce environmental laws to protect this special place.
