Stop Development at Hightower Beach

The proposed construction project was adjacent to a critical turtle nesting habitat, and would add an urban density footprint which was not in the best environmental interest of this small, beach community.

The construction project would not only disrupt sea turtle nesting but impact dunes, beach access for locals and generate more traffic than the area could responsibly handle. The Chapter helped to organize rallys, public comment testimony and advocacy against this development project.
