A few months ago we received an email from a Girl Scout Troop in Portland (well, it made the rounds to Newport Beach, Ca. first, but eventually found it's way to us in Newport Or.). The super cool thing is that this troop of girls wanted to share the proceeds from their annual cookie sales with Surfrider Foundation. What a wonderful thing!
It was an honor, and a pleasure, to meet these girls from troop 45607. This group of juniors scouts has made a tradition of donating twenty percent of their cookie sales each year to a worthy cause. This year the Surfrider Foundation was chosen to be the benefactor of their wonderful generosity.
