The Youth volunteers at the Oregon Coast Aquarium are at it again for their winter projects. This year "Wave Watchers" was formed in partnership with the Newport Chapter's Blue Water Task Force Program. Wave Watchers intend on following up on some the actions initiated by the previous group Nye A.R.M.S. including creating an Ocean Friendly Garden brochure specific to the Pacific Northwest, creating a video on the importance and effects of stormwater pollution and of course continuing the water quality sampling. Today the group completed their action plan to follow through with their project over the next few months. Stay tuned for monthly updates and blogging from the group.
